It may be 76 degrees and sunny outside my office window, but as a wedding invitation designer I am already fully immersed in 2025 fall wedding trends. This year, October is without a question my busiest month, which means I have the scoop on this year's hottest fall wedding invitation trends. How? Because I'm already designing them!
Here’s what’s inspiring my clients for fall wedding invitations this year:
Fall Wedding Invitation Trends for 2025 Brides
Antique Tones Are the New Neutral

Bright white? So 2024. This year the focus is on soft, nostalgic shades of ivory, cream, and beige. These shades feel a little sun-warmed, full of character, and like the pages of a well-loved book. Antique tones are timeless without feeling too traditional. They give your suite an instant feeling of richness and romance, especially when paired with antique gold accents or lace details (also a trend in wedding dresses this year!).
If you love the idea of invitations that feel classic but not outdated, lean into off-white paper or pairing bright white paper with an antique-toned envelope like the suite above!
Nature-Inspired Designs Are Blooming

Even in Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains, outdoor weddings are gaining popularity regardless of the season. Floral crests, delicate leafy borders, and botanical green envelopes are everywhere, and they’re absolutely stunning for fall. Whether you're getting married under a canopy of oak trees or hosting a cozy garden ceremony, your invitations can and should give guests a preview of your wedding's tone and setting.
It's all about bringing the outside into your invitation suite and setting the stage for your guests.
Think Pink: Blush in Fall Color Palettes
While deep jewel tones and moody neutrals will always have a place at fall weddings, 2025 is seeing a sweet little twist: blush is making a comeback. Soft pink tones layered into classic fall palettes — think burgundy, rust, olive, and gold — add a fresh, romantic lift without feeling too springy. A hint of blush in your invitation suite (whether it’s in the paper color, envelope liner, or floral illustrations) creates a beautiful contrast against richer shades and brings a softness that feels both unexpected and timeless.
If you’re craving a fall look that’s warm, inviting, and just a little dreamy, blush is the secret ingredient you didn’t know you needed.
Small Tactile Details Make a Big Impression

This year, it's not about how your invitations look but how they feel. Literally! Couples are cutting back on embellishments and leaning into rich, touchable textures instead.
Cotton paper that feels soft and luxe in the hand
Printed fabric signage for receptions
Torn deckled edges that create an organic, handmade vibe
Real hand-done calligraphy for that one-of-a-kind artistry
There’s something unforgettable about receiving an invitation that feels so carefully crafted you can't bring yourself to take it off the fridge. If you want your invitations to feel like carefully curated art, tactile elements are the way to go.
Final Thoughts
Your invitations are the first glimpse of your wedding day. Fall 2025 is all about embracing beauty that feels rich, natural, and a little bit storybook. And if you're ready to bring that vision to life, I'd love to dream it up with you.
(P.S. If you need help deciding between antique ivory or cotton white, I’ll bring the swatch books...and maybe a coffee too ☕)
